CONTENT POLICY.
Our institutional commitment to accuracy, transparency, and editorial integrity in financial data publishing.
1. Data Sourcing & Attribution
All banking data published on IFSCTeam is sourced from the following official registries and databases:
- Reserve Bank of India (RBI) — IFSC master registry, MICR code directory, and bank branch database. Available at rbi.org.in
- National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) — IFSC validation and UPI-related data. Available at npci.org.in
- Income Tax Department of India — BSR code registry for tax payments. Available at incometax.gov.in
- SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) — BIC directory for international wire transfers. Available at swift.com
- Individual Bank Websites — Branch-specific details, customer care numbers, and service offerings are cross-verified against each bank's official website.
All data is publicly available information. IFSCTeam does not claim ownership of the underlying banking data but owns the compilation, normalization, and presentation thereof.
2. Editorial Standards
Every piece of content on IFSCTeam — from branch descriptions to banking guides — adheres to the following editorial principles:
- Accuracy First: All factual claims (IFSC codes, MICR numbers, addresses, phone numbers) are verified against at least two independent sources before publication.
- Transparency: We clearly distinguish between verified data (sourced from official registries) and enriched data (generated or inferred through our algorithms).
- Timeliness: Banking data is updated within 72 hours of any RBI merger announcement or official circular. Our database syncs with RBI registries on a daily schedule.
- Neutrality: IFSCTeam does not favor or promote any specific bank, financial institution, or product. All content is presented objectively for informational purposes.
- No Financial Advice: We explicitly state that our content is for informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute financial advice, investment recommendations, or solicitation.
3. Fact-Checking Methodology
Our 4-stage fact-checking pipeline ensures that every data point on IFSCTeam meets institutional accuracy standards:
Raw data from RBI and NPCI registries is automatically ingested into our database. Format validation checks (IFSC: 11-char alphanumeric, MICR: 9-digit numeric) are applied at this stage to reject malformed records.
Each record is cross-referenced against at least one secondary source (bank website, NPCI portal, or third-party verified database). Discrepancies are flagged for manual review.
Our editorial board reviews flagged records, merger-impacted IFSC codes, and user-submitted corrections. Each correction is verified against official RBI circulars before being applied.
A random sample of 1,000+ branch profiles is audited monthly. Any profile with an accuracy score below 99% triggers a full review of the affected data batch.
4. Types of Content Published

5. AI-Generated Content Disclosure
IFSCTeam uses artificial intelligence (DeepSeek V4) to enhance and enrich certain content on the platform. Specifically:
- Branch descriptions are AI-assisted to provide unique, contextually relevant content for each of 177K+ branch pages. All AI-generated content is reviewed against editorial guidelines before publication.
- FAQ sections on branch pages are AI-generated based on structured data (IFSC, MICR, address, services) and reviewed for accuracy.
- Banking guides are written by human editors with AI assistance for research and drafting. Final versions are reviewed and approved by our editorial board.
Our commitment: AI is used as a productivity tool, not as a replacement for human editorial judgment. Every piece of content on IFSCTeam is ultimately reviewed, approved, and accountable to our editorial board. We do not publish unverified AI-generated content.
6. Corrections & Updates Policy
